The western media Economist published an article on date 26th May 2022 tittled Containing Eritrea the North Korea of Africa and that sanctions should be reimposed on Isaias Afwerki's regime.
Great piece Eunice. I love the way you have spaced out the paragraphs plus the use of questions. It's given the article a flow and it keeps the reader glued from the beginning to the end. Your mind and point of view on African matters is great, a true daughter of the soil.
Great article, it is absolutely true. I am glad that African intellectuals start to see it how the western media municipalities our views nite to see each other as Africans and learn from our great experiences. Eritrea has paid great sacrifices being stand as independent African country. This was the most threat to the western world, Eritrea to be seen as the model to her sisters African countries, this is why Eritrea was demonized and abused by the west. Now Her African sister countries can be able to see it, her stands only lead them to liberated Africa, that Africa can claiming its dignity to the its place in the world. Viva Africa.
Thank you Ms Wando for shading light into this hard and difficult conversation that the children of Africa need to have. I pray to the deities that the day of reckoning will come, when Africa, the potent and formidable sleeping giant will awaken from its long sleep and rise and follow in Eritreas path. May we live long to see this day dawn on us for that day will come when we drop the shackles of imperialism.
You have written like a true African my sister. These are perspectives many do not have and so in many cases our conversations are mostly influenced by the narrative peddled by the politicians. I agree with your point of view and hope that sooner rather than later our African leaders will open their eyes and leverage on their strengths and unite as Patrick Lumumba says. Well said Eunice.
Andrew Korybko recently posted a substack article saying that President Afwerki has broken through the western-imposed news media blockade, with some help from Russia and China:
